Traffic Signals
Reported Saturday, 21 March 2026 at 11:17 am, Deans Ave, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The signage indicating the pressure point for cyclists to trigger the cycle crossing lights on Deans Avenue is almost invisible. I cycle this route most days and frequently the lights for cycle crossing do not respond, presumably because I did not ride in precisely the correct location. It used to work very well. While you’re here, the cycle pressure pads at the junction of Fendalton Road ( on the downstream side of the bridge) didn’t work at all for me yesterday and I was standing on them
