Traffic Signals
Reported Friday, 8 May 2026 at 3:17 pm, Level 1/76 Victoria Street, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This pedestrian crossing sometimes turns off without going green, requiring the button to be pressed again. It does this when the traffic lights change. I worry that this could be perceived as the crossing light going green but the light not working, resulting in the potential for someone getting hit by a car.
