Roads - General
Reported Wednesday, 13 May 2026 at 5:02 pm, 66 Ryan Street, Phillipstown, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I would like Christchurch City Council to investigate the safety of vehicles turning right from Ferry Road into Bordesley Street across the cycle lane. Vehicles turning right appear to focus primarily on gaps in Ferry Road traffic and can conflict with cyclists travelling straight through the intersection. Because this movement crosses a busy cycle corridor, there appears to be a significant potential for near misses or collisions.
