Trees - General
Reported Sunday, 14 June 2026 at 5:15 pm, 2 Kilkivan Lane, Broomfield, Christchurch 8042, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I have attached a photo of what is the tiniest amount of leaves I constantly have blown into my driveway. I understand the trees planted are Oriental Plane. Whilst they are deciduous their leaves so not break down. Therefore unable to be composed. I guess being mature trees it is unlikely we can have them replaced with more "friendly foliage". otherwise cab the Council please inatigate a severe pruning/cutback of these trees. They are extremely tall which I doubt was the developers plan.j
