Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Tuesday, 18 August 2026 at 9:28 am, 43 Parlane St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Flax plants restricting visibility at the intersection. These flax bushes need to be removed and replaced by some low growing plants. The second photo is with the front of my car protruding well into the intersection I have approached council contractors ( several times ) who have been pruning the plants in the area and been told they need council permission to cut the flax back. Cutting the flax back is only a temporary solution as it obviously just grows back. Peak time traffic heavy here.
