Trees - General
Reported Tuesday, 18 August 2026 at 2:45 pm, 158 Grimseys Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
We have lived at 158 Grimseys Road for 20 yrs. This tree has grown enormously. The berm is raised, it leans heavily towards our house and we are anxious that it may fall towards us in the frequent high winds we are now often subjected to. Its growth has also damaged the roadside guttering. My husband can no longer mow the berm around it easily. Neighbours even comment on how precarious it is. We are concerned.
