Roads - General
Reported Wednesday, 23 September 2026 at 8:06 pm, 56 Grimseys Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
With Grimseys Road closed one-way (northbound only), can an option be provided for southbound cycling to access the underpass. This is between Providence Place and QE II Drive. This is especially relevant for students and staff of St Bede’s College and Papanui Primary School. Maybe the berm/path on the east side could temporarily be designated a shared path with slow and take care warnings? Southbound, one-way for cyclists would help mitigate risk.
