Noise - General
Reported Friday, 2 October 2026 at 10:48 pm, 302 Lake Terrace Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8061, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
From approx 0:00hrs until approx 04:00hrs regularly during week mornings there is significant construction works noise, affecting sleep. Other neighbours are complaining of this also- collectively we cannot work out who is responsible and exactly where it’s coming from. Loud banging, voices, trucks reversing with beepers and drilling noises. I understand we need progress, but at a time where noise should be kept quiet so as not disturb the peace.
