Roading/Streets

The reporter’s words
Parking Lines: Hi there, I live on a busy street near the city centre. We’re having reoccurring problems with people parking either over or extremely close to our driveway. On a busy road with these obstructions we are taking risks everyday pulling out into traffic as we cannot see any oncoming traffic. The van pictured has been parked in the same spot for many days without moving (I believe it may have been there for longer as the passenger window is down in the vehicle 24/7 even in the rain the owner hasn’t appeared to close it) . It has meant our bins haven’t been collected as they’ve been obstructed from view and claw access. We have had to have multiple vehicles towed from outside our home because at times we cannot get our cars in and out of our driveway. This is a problem that occurs daily and is a real safety risk for residents. I’m wanting to submit a request to have parking lines marked out to reduce illegal parking on our street.
