The reporter’s words
Yesterday (12th February) the long grass was line-trimmed around the paths/walkways near my property. Unfortunately the remaining long grass is still the fire hazard about which I have expressed concern on many previous occasions. Another of yesterday's events was a scrub fire on Tunnel Road just over the hills from Cass Bay. I believe yesterday also marks the third anniversary of the disastrous Port Hills fires... I cannot understand why anyone would clear pathways but not remove fire hazards while they were on site. Please action my request for cutting the dangerous long grass.
