  • Used to be a great place but now .... the service was slow, the coffee was good, the food mediocre and the place was grubby and run down. No white sugar available anywhere in the shop, the chips and gravy came with tomato sauce and aoili, and when corrected came with cold gravy. The toilet and hand basin was dirty, with no toilet paper and no soap. Not going back when there are so many great places close by.Win McDonald, 4 months ago
  • Work trip down to Christchurch, and came across this restaurant. Food is awesome, good value for the money. Friendly staffs. No pressure dining in at all.Clifford Shum, 5 months ago
  • Good coffee here, it's not super acidic like at many places so it goes well with milk. The interior is very interesting, lots of art on the walls to look at, plus an industrial sized coffee roasting machine! Personally not a fan of the baked goods in the cabinet, all of the slices, friands, muffins, and cakes I've tried were REALLY sweet even with a side of coffee.D S, 6 months ago

Located in the Christchurch CBD, overlooking the Avon River, featuring all day sun and plenty of parking - a perfect location. Black and White Cartel coffee houses are centered around personalities - coffee, both brewing and roasting. This is a culture, that is what it is, this is why they are called “Black & White”. It is all about the people, spaces and the coffee, it brings us together.
