A nice Argentine parilla restuarant at the Riverside Market; it's a casual, simple restaurant. However, they really know how to grill their steak! Our Rib-eye was grilled nicely when we ordered medium-rare, it was not over cooked as in many other restaurants in New Zealand. Their beef empanada was also so good that we had to reorder for more. The staff are also nice providing great service and recommendations.

It was our 1st trip to New Zealand, and on the 1st day in Christchurch, we tried their Argentine BBQ set — and we’ve been dreaming about it for the rest of the 10 days of our trip! Marlovisa JS, 6 months agoTrying hard to be hip but missing the point. Its not even close. The price you pay for what you get isnt worth it. 7 bucks for a coke for example. The place is a hole in the wall trying to be a restaurant and theyre charging like it. Its loud and very cramped. We made reservations at 6 and was told we turned up an hour early when we turned up exactly as we reserved and with an email confirmation. Food was average. Nothing special. The whole thing was drenched in chimichuri which makes it all just taste the same. The cuts of meat were tender but the sausage doesnt have any flavour. I make bette
