  • My experience with WINZ has been mixed. On the positive side, the building is clean, tidy, and generally well-maintained. The security staff do a good job and their presence is appreciated. However, despite the security, there is often an underlying sense of tension and unease in the atmosphere. It can feel like a stressful environment from the moment you walk through the doors. The staff are very hit and miss. Some are genuinely helpful and treat you with respect, while others can come across as dismissive and quick to make assumptions about your situation. • Avoid the Linwood Work and Income office if you can. I went in to drop off forms and had an incredibly rude and dismissive interaction with the old woman at the front desk. In under two minutes, I was spoken to in a condescending tone and effectively called incompetent multiple times over forms that were actually filled out correctly. When it became clear the forms were correct, there was no apology, just a complete lack of accountability. This wasn’t a one off issue. When my partner first went in to collect the forms, he asked for them by name and was given the wrong ones by the same old woC D, 6 months ago
  • Made an appointment in person a few months ago, the only one available was early around 8am. I said it is fine, was asked “will you be up for it?” In a super condesending and snarky tone by the male worker. Said yeah because I need this sorted as the appointment was weeks in advance at a different branch. Wouldn’t go back to that branch, papanui were much betterKodie Plaskett, 3 months ago
