Overgrown Vegetation
Reported Wednesday, 28 February 2024 at 12:22 pm, 14 Riccarton Avenue, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
To Parks. The raupo that looks to have been either illegally planted or introduced by Council into Lake Albert in North Hagley Park looks to have now permanently established itself. Some time ago Council staff attempted to poison or remove the raupo but never did enough at the time. To remove it now will require an excavator which will result in damage to the clay liner. Council needs to address this significant invasive weed issue with urgency. Andrew Stewart CCC Civil Engineer 0274310722
