Reported Saturday, 4 May 2024 at 10:26 am, 259 Ilam Road, Ilam, Christchurch 8053, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This is a brand new renewed footpath (as part of the Nor'west Arc cycleway works), why is the sign for the vehicle speed limit installed in the middle of it? This is an obstruction for footpath users and should not be done as it impacts accessibility. It does not meet the requirements for unobstructed footpath width in the CCC Infrastructure Design Standards which is 1.5m "clear of all obstructions". Please move the sign out of the 1.5m wide footpath and repair the footpath asphalt.
