Pest / Vermin
Reported Wednesday, 12 February 2025 at 11:06 am, Hagley Park Riccarton Avenue, Christchurch Central City, Christchurch, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The numbers of Canadian Geese in Hagley Park has greatly increased. We counted 15 in one spot. They are fouling all the paths and large sections of lawn. When walking on paths it is tricky to avoid getting on your shoes. It must be a nightmare for parents pushing strollers and also visitors using wheelchairs. It is time for them to be eradicated from Hagley Park. They aren't native to our environment.
