The reporter’s words

The photo speaks to a widespread problem (rather than one specific incident) - namely how much dog poo there increasingly is along the coast path between Cass Bay and Lyttelton. Today on my run I saw many, three of which were on the Naval Point playing field. This issue is likely correlated with all the dogs off leash on this path - owners will likely turn a blind eye if they don’t see the shit being shat. The CCC gets blamed for sea water quality, so enforcement is in the council’s interest too
