Roads - General
Reported Wednesday, 18 March 2026 at 8:10 am, 26A Saint Asaph St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The photos show the view for a cyclist of traffic emerging from the Parakiore Recreation Centre. It is extremely difficult to see vehicles and I know from a colleague it is equally difficult for vehicles to see cyclists and e-scooters. There is no marking in the pathway for cars reminding of the cycle lane as the exit. Both cyclists and drivers need better visibility at this point. This needs better consideration before an accident happens.
