Facility - General Request
Reported Wednesday, 19 August 2026 at 6:43 pm, 50 Saint Asaph St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Black mould is now growing in many showers in all change rooms at Parakiore. This includes the private / family change rooms, men’s change rooms on ground level, and fitness centre change rooms on level one. This is due to the extractor fan intakes above all showers now being clogged up as a result of not cleaning and poor maintenance. That is, not removing the air intake grills to vacuum and wipe off all dust that accumulates. This results in air not being extracted and hence black mould.
