The reporter’s words

there is a long standing and dangerous issue of motorists driving around the traffic island and proceeding along Oxford terrace, crossing paths with motorists turning right into Lichfield st, on a green arrow, and then dreaming out pedestrians. There was a left turn arrow and its now been replaced with this arrow sayings go to the left of the island. why can't there be a sign sayings left turn only?
