The restaurant’s décor was very nice and created a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying a meal. The service was great. The food was a bit hit and miss. The Persian-Style Chicken Tahchin had a wonderfully crispy rice crust, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. However, it lacked flavour from the seasoning within the dish. The Kashk Bademjan was enjoyable, particularly the eggplant, although I wasn’t sure the slaw paired well with it. The bread/naan was also somewhat disappointing. The teapot was beautiful, but the tea tasted as though it had been made from a tea bag.
Hannah Zhang, 4 months agoSuch a unique and delicious dining experience! From the moment you walk in, the place feels so warm, friendly, and welcoming , almost like being invited into someone’s home. The atmosphere is cosy and comforting, and you can truly feel the love and care that goes into preparing the food. Every dish was subtle yet incredibly flavourful, with beautiful balanced flavours that made every bite memorable. Since it was our first time trying this cuisine, we really appreciated the kind and thoughtful suggestions from the staff. They were so patient, helpful, and genuinely passionate about the food.
Sharon D'souza, 4 months agoI think it’s a family/women run business, such a pleasant calm atmosphere. The Persian tea is worth thousand dollars, saffron flavour is truly amazing, alongside the dates with tahini drizzle. and the snacks I ordered with it were delicious. I was craving some bold pistachio flavours with real pistachios and they delivered it. A must-visit restaurant especially when you just finished the Christchurch Coastal Pathway walk.
