Walked in and hired a gravel bike on the spot. Staff was helpful and friendly. Enjoyed 3 rides in 2 days, summit road above Christchurch and two rides along the Avon River to the coast. Gravel bike was the perfect choice. Would have preferred an easier gear than 1:1, but I made it up the climb anyway!
Nathan Toke, 8 months agoAdam and Stu were great in advising bike types and places to visit while in Christchurch. We hired 2 city style bikes for a week which allowed for greater exploration than walking while staying out of a car. They provided a helmet and lock for each bike. The location is easy to find and centrally located. If you are here for a conference or holiday, a bike hire from chill explore is a must.
John, 11 months agoI had a great experience hiring a MTB from Chill Explore. The online booking system was great, and very easy to use. When I turned up to pick up the bike, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plus they are actually cyclists, so they know what they are talking about. I was in Christchurch for a work trip and wanted a bike to do some early morning rides before work. My bike was a Norco Storm 120, and it came with clip pedals, pump, spares and bottle cage. I brought my own quadlock mount, which the staff happily installed for me. The bike was in very good condition (it might have been brand
